CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In her new position at outside hitter for the first time, Brittany Gilpin certainly impressed, earning the Southland Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Gilpin had 37 kills to lead the Islanders to a 2-1 weekend at the Baylor Invitational. The junior averaged 3.36 kills per set across the three matches and set a career high with 20 kills against UTRGV.
