In 2015, the Islanders tallied wins in five of their last seven matches, en route to securing the fifth seed at the tournament in Conway, Ark. A&M-Corpus Christi will aim to build on the success of last season, as the Southland Conference Tournament comes to the Coastal Bend Nov. 2-6.

Head coach Shanna Caldwell's squad features 10 returners and 11 newcomers for the upcoming campaign. Seven seniors, the largest graduating class in program history, lead the team into their only preseason tune-up match against Texas on Friday.

A&M-Corpus Christi starts the campaign on Aug. 19., at UTRGV. The season opener will be the inaugural competition in the South Texas Showdown presented by NavyArmy Community Credit Union.
