CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi soccer team got its workout Saturday morning by giving back to the community. The Islanders joined Habitat for Humanity to help construct a home in west side Corpus Christi this weekend.
A week after taking on Texas in a spring game, the Islanders shelved the cleats in exchange for shovels, hammers and saws as they took on the challenge of constructing a local Habitat house. Saturday's work saw the Islanders working on the early stages of framing the soon-to-be home.
